Self Love

How amazing it is to fall in love with yourself! Blissful, isn't it? But are you really loving yourself? Loving oneself doesn't just mean appreciating your beauty and booty. It is not just checking out yourself in the mirror all the time. It is not just about admiring the fact that you look good in pictures all the time. It is not about smiling all the time. It is not even about happiness all the time.

It is more about feeling content. It is about not feeling terrible when you feel lazy when you feel helpless when you are longing for certain things, people, places, when you are desperate when you are frustrated when you can't do even the smallest of things when you feel low.

Self-love is not just about bathing and cleaning your body but also about meditating and cleansing your mind. It is not just about glamorizing your body but also about exercising your brain. It is about realizing that you too might have some toxic traits. You can't blame everyone else for your miseries; similarly, you can't constantly keep blaming yourself for all your sufferings. The trick is to look beyond the surface of your body, beneath the layers of your mind.

"BE THANKFUL FOR WHAT YOU HAVE; YOU WILL END UP HAVING MORE. IF YOU CONCENTRATE ON WHAT YOU DONT HAVE, YOU WILL NEVER, EVER HAVE ENOUGH."

                                                                                      - OPRAH WINFREY

It is about finding the damaged part and healing it. It is about not being too harsh on yourself. It is about looking into yourself without losing a connection from the corresponding world. It is about engaging in one without losing the other. It is about making yourself better. Moment by moment, day by day, every day. Give yourself time. Lips are not the only part of your body that needs to be fuller. A fuller, healthier mind feels even better.

Self-love is knowing the difference between “You are more important” and “You are most important”. it is self-indulgence without being selfish. It is the art of balancing. Balancing your emotions, balancing your moods, your success, your failures, your good, your bad, your nothing, and your everything.

It's Casual

A few days back a friend of mine showed me a picture of a girl and without much thinking I instantly asked him “girlfriend??” and just as I was about to feel the dumbest person on earth, he gave an even dumber reply. He said it was “casual”. Attraction So almost all my friends have been in casual relationships and I am pretty sure none of them was in their senses while doing so. I mean being with someone because you were simply attracted to them doesn’t make any sense to me at least. Has time become so worthless for everyone that they just want to waste theirs on someone else? Or is the time they already have for themselves not enough that they want others’ time and attention as well. I think the whole idea is to generalize every special aspect of life. Be it a relationship or even a feeling. Earlier a relationship meant two people being connected. This connection could be in any form be it a friendly connection, spiritual connection, platonic connection or anything that ...

The Truth Behind Truth

Truth..... What comes in your mind when you first read this word? Facts, rightness, being true, reality??? Half of you might think of other synonymous words like these that might describe the truth. But the other half of you might have questions arising in your minds like "what exactly is truth?", "does it really have just one meaning?", "is truth universal?" and many more, just like I do. For now, I don't have answers to any of these questions. But why not try going deep into it? Who knows what kind of truth might be awaiting us? It's 3 in the afternoon, people are probably having their nap time, some are still working and then there is me who has absolutely no work to do, just gazing at the bright blue sky. I look at the moving clouds and recall a memory from my childhood... Cottony Cloud When I was little, I believed the clouds were big cotton balls and that one day I will go all the way up and bungee jump on those...
